You are wasting your time on LinkedIn (if you’re not doing it right!)

Stop these 3 bad habits and you’ll get more value from the time you’re spending on LinkedIn:

  1. Stop clicking “share” on content and simply posting it. You’re not adding any value, beyond amplifying it’s reach. Add a comment giving the post context – and explain to your audience why they should be interested in it. Tag people who you think would find the content interesting, and use meaningful hashtags to make the content searchable.
  2. Stop using meaningless hashtags. If you’re opening a new store location, don’t use #new, for example. Nobody is searching for “new”.
  3. Stop posting content ONLY under the name of your company. Use your employees to amplify the reach of the content and to give it that personal touch. It’s proven that content distributed by individuals has far greater authenticity and engagement than content put out by companies and brands, especially in the B2B space.
